Strength Running began in 2010 and quickly grew to one of the largest running blogs on the web with over 200,000 readers per month. It’s been featured in Runner’s World, Competitor Magazine, USA Today, The Huffington Post and more.
Jason Fitzgerald created Strength Running to help runners avoid the mistakes that nearly side-lined his own running. After finishing the 2008 New York Marathon in 2:44, he developed a severe ITB injury and was side-lined for six months.
That injury transformed his thoughts on running health and injury prevention, he’s only had one injury since 2009 and since run more than ever, including a 5+ minute PB at the Philadelphia Marathon in a time of 2:39:32 and won the 2011 Moraine Hills Half Marathon, 2012 Maryland Warrior Dash and 2013 Potomac River Run Marathon.
